Driver runs over motorcycle in horrifying road-rage incident caught on camera

The collision happened after “a few choice words” were traded, according to a Florida Highway Patrol arrest report.
It was captured on movie, in a clip that lasts about nine seconds.
That footage shows a silver car near a motorcycle on a Florida road. Abruptly, the car swerves toward the motorcycle, knocking it down — along with the motorcycle’s driver and passenger.
The car barrels over the motorcycle before speeding off.
“I thought the stud was attempting to kill us, obviously,” Joe Calderazzo, the biker who was involved in the crash, told WTSP. “You know, you don’t know what’s going through your mind. Is he going to put the car in switch sides? Is he going to turn around? Is he going to stop and pull out a gun? You don’t know what’s going on.”
Taken into custody in connection with the road-rage incident was 31-year-old Robert Paul Vance, according to the Highway Patrol.
Vance, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries and being a habitual traffic offender, according to an arrest report. A charge of aggravated battery was amended to two counts of attempted murder, FHP said in an email Tuesday night.
It was unclear whether Vance had an attorney.

The incident occurred Monday evening in Lutz, Fla., according to the FHP arrest report. The movie shows Vance’s car veering into another lane, knocking down the two victims and their motorcycle.
The car’s back wheel is airborne as the vehicle travels over Calderazzo’s motorcycle. Then the car drives away.
“The car literally just went right over them,” a witness told a dispatcher in a nine hundred eleven call, released by the Florida Highway Patrol.
“We got just run over by a car,” one of the victims says, in another emergency call. “It was a hit-and-run.”
When a trooper arrived on the scene, he found “the victim driver was injured due to a vehicle running into him after they exchanged a few choice words,” the report states.
Sgt. Steve Gaskins of the Florida Highway Patrol told The Post on Tuesday that the injuries suffered during the incident were minor.
The trooper tracked down Vance after the incident and noted that his vehicle had harm that was consistent with a hit-and-run.
The trooper asked Vance if he could take a look in the trunk.
“There I found a wheel and a tire with the rubber shredded,” the arrest report states.
Witnesses at the scene identified Vance, who later admitted responsibility for the incident, according to the document.
