A man has been charged after a pizza delivery driver was allegedly carjacked on the Mid North Coast. Shortly after 7pm last night, the delivery driver parked his car outside a motel on the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour, when he was approached by a masculine. Police say the 40-year-old man allegedly threatened the driver before taking his keys and driving away. The delivery driver notified police, and the man was arrested shortly after in Orlando Street after officers tracked the car via GPS. The man was charged with brunt with intent, and high range PCA after allegedly returning a breath analysis of 0.154. He was granted conditional bail to show up in Coffs harbour Local Court on eighteen September, 2017.

Police have charged a man on the mid north coast following an alleged carjacking and break-in. Police say a 50-year-old man was sitting in a parked car on Brief Street at Port Macquarie around 2pm yesterday, when he was approached by a man holding a pair of scissors. The man allegedly entered the car and demanded to be driven to Lake Cathie, but the 50-year-old left and called police. About thirty minutes later, the same man allegedly broke into a home on Talara Place at Lake Cathie, and assaulted and threatened a masculine resident with a knife. A man in his 20s was later charged with several offences including two counts of onslaught, and aggravated break & inject.

A teenage boy, allegedly involved in a foiled carjacking that left a dame fighting for her life on the Gold Coast, has been charged over the incident. The boy and woman, both aged 15, secured a lift from a woman at Harbour Town Shopping Centre in Helensvale on Thursday night, claiming they were being chased by a man. The 24-year-old woman drove them to Mullawa Crescent, where the teenagers allegedly attempted to carjack the vehicle at knifepoint. Police say the woman refused, and as she drove away, the vehicle allegedly struck the woman, causing serious injuries. The boy fled the area on foot but was located a brief time later. He has been charged with unlawful entry of a vehicle while menacing violence. A 15-year-old doll remains in hospital with life-threatening-injuries. A fifteen year old woman accused of attempting to carjack a woman attempting to help her on the Gold Coast, has instead been rundown by the sedan she was attempting to steal. The teenage is now in a critical condition – her family puzzled how she became involved in such a horrifying incident.

The driver of a van that was the target of an alleged attempted carjacking near Grafton is urged to contact police as investigations into the incident proceed. Around Four:30pm yesterday, police attempted to stop a black Toyota Rav four on the Pacific Highway in Clarenza. Police allege the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated through James Creek and Chatsworth Island. The pursuit came to an end when a set of road spikes were deployed on the Pacific Highway at Mororo, but the driver and two passengers fled on foot. A 36-year-old man has been charged with an alleged carjacking on the Far North Coast. Shortly before 3am on Wednesday, a driver picked up a hitchhiker on Wharf Street in Murwillumbah. As they reached the Sextons Hill overpass on the M1, the passenger allegedly threatened the driver with a large rock and demanded he get out of the vehicle. The driver complied and the hitchhiker drove the car towards the Queensland border. About 6.30am on Wednesday, a 36-year-old man attended Tweed Goes Police Station, where he was charged over the incident. He will show up in Tweed Goes Local Court on May 1.

Police are on the hunt for a man believed to be involved in a car-jacking and shooting on the Gold Coast overnight. At around 7pm, a stolen vehicle crashed on Serpentine Creek Road at Redland Bay. According to police, when members of the public stopped to assist, the driver produced a rifle and demanded their car keys. It’s alleged the man then took one of their cars, which was located at 8.30pm in a carpark at Ormeau. Then, just before midnight, police say a man was shot in the abdomen after approaching a man who was allegedly attempting to break into his car in Gaven. Police are searching for two fellows after a failed carjacking in Jesmond late yesterday. At about Five.10pm, a 26-year-old man was locking his car in a driveway on Blue Gum Road when two studs approached him from behind with a firearm and demanded the keys. One of the guys got into the car with the keys and failed to commence it decently, driving it a brief distance before the vehicle stopped. The man then fled the scene with the other offender.

A teenager accused of several carjackings during a week-long crime spree will remain behind bars. Zach Todd was arrested in dramatic form late yesterday, and charged with impersonating a police officer, among dozens of other offences.
