Cracking Good News – October Two, 2015
Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Cracking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and switching lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
CRAVE-Youth Ministry
The Covet Student Ministry held a carnival recently for residents of Wesley Gardens. Many students assisted the residents in games such as Go Fishing, Pick a Duck, Bean Bag Throw, Cake Walk and Fortunate Lollipop. A few folks even loved a little face-painting. Popcorn and cotton candy served as the flawless treats for this Sunday carnival. A good time was had by all and for the afternoon, God’s senior adults became children again.
Sports and Fitness Ministry
College football and the NFL have nothing on Frazer’s Upward football league! It seems the smaller the player the cuter the highlights. The kindergarten players hit the field recently for opening day. Stop by any Saturday in the fall for some of the most arousing and adorable highlights of the season!
Media Ministries
Frazer’s main sanctuary is undergoing a major technology upgrade. From fresh speakers, lighting, screens, projectors and cameras, the sanctuary will soon sound and look more appealing for idolize, both in house and through broadcast. The fresh cameras and switches in equipment will provide a high definition signal when Frazer’s services are aired live on WSFA Sunday mornings at 9:30am. The choir has experienced awkward temperatures for years sitting under the lighting while wearing choir robes. Now fresh LED lighting will solve that problem while providing a more balanced look via. The switches will be unfolding through mid-October—so stop by and practice the fresh feel in the Frazer sanctuary!
Celebrating the Frazer Family
Frazer’s Senior Minister Dr. Tim Thompson and his wifey Virginia can’t stop grinning from ear to ear these days. Just a few months after becoming grandparents for the very first time to a grand daughter, Lucy, their family just expanded by two more, with the birth of twin grandchildren. Their daughter Dorothy gave birth to Issac and Abigail September 30th.
Congratulations on these precious additions to your family!
This is just some of the Cracking Good News happening in our Frazer Family! Stay tuned for more details of how God is moving through Frazer UMC.
